Cindy & Jamie Smith

Cindy~ I have been blessed with a wonderful husband & 2 awesome kids (Liana, 19 & Dylan,11). Throughout my life I have always been very active, always trying new things… jazz, ballet, modeling, gymnastic. However, it wasn’t until after I had my 2nd child that I truly discovered fitness. I had a very rough time getting rid of the weight… then I discovered Zumba. From that point I fell in love with the feeling of accomplishment I got after every workout. I became so to speak, an addict. During that time my work in the homebuilding industry was reduced due to the economy. My husband & I had determined years before that I would only work part-time in order to be available to our children’s needs. So I decided, why not? I’m already spending hours @ the gym. Let’s give it a try. It has been the best decision I have made as an adult (after marrying my husband). LOVE doesn’t begin to describe how I feel about helping people get healthy. I thank GOD everyday for putting me in the right path. I have been a fitness Instructor since 2007. Certifications: Zumba, Sentao, Aqua, Strength, Martial Arts, Pilates & Cycle. I enjoy every aspect of fitness, from teaching it, to competing, but what I enjoy most is the feeling of accomplishment I get every time I finish a fitness routine. I believe you can have a great time while getting healthy.

Jamie~As a Firefighter/Paramedic for 22 years, I have come to appreciate fitness from both sides.  On one hand, I appreciate the necessity of maintaining all aspects of physical fitness: strength, cardiovascular, and cardio-muscular endurance.  Firefighting is difficult work, and the difference between doing the job and doing it well often comes down to fitness.  However, as a Paramedic I have also seen the consequences of a lifetime not exercising or dieting intelligently.  Everyday on duty I respond to people with cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies.  Many of these patients admit that they began their health decline with obesity and a sedentary lifestyle.
Therefore, I consider myself very blessed to have a wife who ensures that exercise, healthy eating and proper supplementation are a part of everyday.  That way I might reap the benefits of good health today and for years to come.

Feel healthy. Look healthy. Be healthy. Seems simple enough, right? The healthier or BETTER you FEEL, the more inclined you are to exercise. The BETTER you FEEL, the more effective (or better) those exercise sessions will be (longer, greater intensity, etc.). Thus the BETTER you FEEL directly results in your looking healthier and in shape. Which in turn results in your feeling…BETTER.
